Our final exhibition for the year features over 30 wonderful works from our artists and guest artists.  Come along to the gallery and enjoy.

While at the gallery wonder through the sculpture garden or sit al fresco in the gallery cafe courtyard and indulge in a scrumptious morning tea, a light lunch or afternoon tea.

"Gymea Lily" Tony Ameneiro

Tony is an artist-printmaker who uses both drawing and printmaking to develop and extend his ideas and images.  His work reveals a sense of condensed observation with references to art history and is executed with great attention to detail.  His most recent LILY HEAD series continues his interest in the Gymea Lily.  Exploring the literal and metaphorical possibilities of the botanical term "flowering head"

A great way to while away the day in the cafe garden.

Josephine's friends, family and art collectors gathered for the opening of "Feathering the nest".

Followed by a scrumptious afternoon tea in Jayes Cafe.

"FEATHERING THE NEST"

A wonderful collection of new works from Josephine Jagger-Manners in which she examines how both birds and people are alike in creating secure and pleasing homes, how they ‘nest’. Libby Oldham, Gallery Director says “I am pleased to be able to provide this opportunity to such a wonderful and inspiring artist. Her works sit well within our current stable as Josephine has her own style which has developed out of a strong past of being influenced by the European Masters.”

Josephine’s use of colour is always vibrant and reflects her lifestyle.  Josephine enjoys painting what she sees as snippets of country life and domesticity.

For Josephine at present spending time painting from her home, surrounded by her large and prolific garden, truly is for her “Feathering the nest”

The exhibition “Feathering the next” opens on Sunday September 22^nd, at 2pm.  Following the opening, there will be a scrumptious afternoon tea with Josephine a treat not to be missed. Bookings essential for the afternoon tea however all are welcome to the opening. See you on the day!
